Lesson Learnt

Nowadays our lives revolve around technology and electronics.  From cable to wifi to cellphones and tablets and as soon as we don't have one of these we become a little lost in life.

Yesterday my cellphone was stolen right from my work.  I still can't believe it happened.  A "nice" little Asian man came in "looking for a purse for his girlfriends grandmother".  I turned my back for a second and he was gone along with my phone!  Of course he turned my phone off as soon as he took it as well so first thing first was cancelling my contract.  I'm also one of those people that never thought my phone would ever be stolen so I didn't have "Find My Phone" turned on...stupid, stupid, stupid.  Though even if I did have it turned on what would I have done...run down the street in that direction and ask nicely for my phone back??

It didn't hit me until about an hour after it was stolen....MY PICTURES!!!!! I thought I had uploaded them onto my computer, but I only did that for my old phone.  All my pictures are gone except for the handfuls I uploaded onto Facebook which wasn't even a quarter of my pictures.  We've been so busy this summer camping, going to festivals, going to the mountains (hence the lack of posting...sorry guys) and now all those pictures are gone!!

So lesson learnt...always hide your phone very well at work or keep it on your body at all times, have "Find Your Phone" turned on, and always have iCloud or upload pictures regularly!
